Shipping, Label Printing, and Tracking
Racko provides robust shipping functionality, allowing you to configure shipments, create and print labels, and track your packages. This guide will walk you through the process of shipping an order, from configuration to tracking.
Configuring a Shipment
Before creating a label, you need to configure your shipment details:
- Select an order from the Orders grid.
- In the Shipping Sidebar, locate the Configure Shipment section.
- Set the following details:
- Ship From: Select your shipping location
- Weight: Enter the package weight
- Service: Choose the shipping service
- Package: Select the package type
- Dimensions: Enter package dimensions (recommended for accurate rates)
Tip: Use the Rate Calculator to compare rates across different carriers and services.
Creating and Printing Labels
Once your shipment is configured, you're ready to create and print your label:
- Click the Create + Print Label button in the Shipping Sidebar.
- If prompted, set up your label payment method.
- In the Print Label pop-up, choose your preferred printing method:
- Browser Print: Quick and simple, prints directly from your browser
- Download: Saves the label as a PDF for later printing
- Racko Connect: Our desktop application for advanced printing features
Printer Setup
Before printing your first label, ensure your printer settings are correctly configured:

Post-Shipping Tasks
Marketplace Notifications
Racko automatically notifies your selling channels when a label is created. Check notification status:
- In the Shipment Details screen
- In the Shipments grid (each notification has its own column)
Notification statuses are color-coded:
- Light Grey: Not attempted
- Dark Grey: Successful
- Red: Failed (hover for failure reason)
To resend a failed notification, use the "Send Notification" option in the Other Actions menu.
Customer Notifications
To set up email notifications for customers:
- Go to Settings > Notifications
- Configure your customer notification preferences
Tracking Shipments
Racko provides multiple ways to track your shipments:
- Order Details Screen: Click the tracking number in the Shipment Details card
- Shipment Details Screen: Click the tracking number at the top
- Shipments Grid: Click the tracking number in the Tracking # column
To update tracking information:
- Select the shipment in the Shipments grid
- Click the Update Tracking button
Racko receives automatic tracking updates for supported carriers, showing statuses like "In Transit" and "Delivered" directly in the application.
Reprinting Labels
To reprint a label:
- Locate the shipment in the Shipments or Orders grid
- Expand the Print menu and choose "Label"
- In the Print Preview screen, choose to Download or Print through Racko Connect
Alternatively, from the Order Details screen:
- Select the shipment in the left-side panel
- Click Shipment Actions > Print > Label
Voiding Labels
To void a label:
- In the Shipments grid, select the shipment and click "Void Label"
- Or, in the Order Details screen, select the shipment and choose "Void Shipment" from the action menu
Voiding a label will:
- Refund the label amount for prepaid carriers
- Move the order back to "Awaiting Shipment" status
Best Practices
- Always enter accurate package dimensions for the most precise rates
- Regularly check for and resend failed notifications
- Use Racko Connect for advanced printing features and workflow optimization
- Keep your shipping preferences and carrier accounts up to date
