Connecting to Carriers

Racko offers direct integrations with major carriers and additional options through EasyPost. This guide will walk you through the process of connecting your carrier accounts and managing them within Racko.

Supported Carriers

Racko provides direct integrations with:

  • USPS
  • UPS
  • FedEx
  • DHL

Additionally, we offer connections to other carriers through our EasyPost integration.

Connecting Your Carrier Accounts

Direct Carrier Connections

To connect a carrier account:

  1. Go to Settings > Shipping > Carrier Accounts.
  2. Click on the carrier you want to connect (USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL).
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your account details.

Note: Different carriers may require different information. You might need to log into your carrier account to find specific details.

EasyPost Integration

For carriers not directly supported:

  1. Go to Settings > Shipping > Carrier Accounts.
  2. Select "EasyPost" from the list of carriers.
  3. Follow the prompts to connect your EasyPost account.
  4. Once connected, you can access additional carriers through EasyPost.

Managing Multiple Accounts

Racko allows you to connect multiple accounts for some carriers:

  1. The first account you connect becomes the primary account by default.
  2. To add additional accounts, repeat the connection process with different credentials.
  3. To change the primary account:
    • Go to Settings > Shipping > Carrier Accounts.
    • Select the carrier.
    • Find the account you want to set as primary.
    • Check the box for "Make this my primary account".

Third-Party Billing

To bill the cost of a label to a third-party carrier account:

  1. First, add your own account for that carrier to Racko.
  2. When creating a shipment, you'll have the option to select third-party billing and enter the third-party account details.

Best Practices

  1. Keep your carrier account credentials up to date in Racko.
  2. Regularly review your carrier settings to ensure you're using the most cost-effective options.
  3. If you frequently use third-party billing, consider saving those account details for quick access.
  4. Monitor your EasyPost balance if using additional carriers through their integration.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues connecting a carrier:

  1. Double-check that you've entered all required information correctly.
  2. Ensure your carrier account is in good standing and doesn't have any restrictions.
  3. For direct integrations, try disconnecting and reconnecting the account.
  4. For EasyPost connections, verify your EasyPost account is active and has sufficient funds.

If problems persist, contact Racko support for assistance.
