Sales Representatives

The Sales Representatives feature in Racko allows you to manage your sales team, track their performance, and calculate commissions. This feature is particularly useful for businesses with a dedicated sales force or those using commission-based compensation.

Turn on Sales Representatives

  1. Go to Sales Order.
  2. Click the gear icon on the top right.
  3. Toggle the Sales Rep section to On.
  4. Click Save.

Accessing Sales Representatives

To view, edit, or manage your Sales Representatives:

  1. Go to Miscellaneous > Sales Representatives.

Setting Up Sales Representatives

Adding a New Sales Representative

  1. Navigate to Miscellaneous > Sales Representatives.
  2. Click Add New on the top right.
  3. Fill in the following details:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Commission Rate: Enter the percentage commission for this rep
    • Email: Enter the rep's email address
    • Phone: Enter the rep's phone number
  4. Click Save.

Assigning Sales Reps to Customers

  1. Go to Sales > Customers.
  2. Edit the customer you want to assign to a sales rep.
  3. Select the appropriate rep from the Sales Rep dropdown.
  4. Save the customer record.

Tip: You can also assign sales reps to customers using a bulk edit feature.

Using Sales Representatives in Transactions

Once set up, you can select a sales representative for each sales transaction:

  1. When creating a new sales order or invoice, look for the Sales Rep field.
  2. Select the appropriate sales rep from the dropdown.
  3. The system will use this information for commission calculations and reporting.

Reporting

To view sales performance and commission data:

  1. Go to Reports > Sales > Sales Rep Performance.
  2. Use filters to select date ranges, specific reps, or other criteria.
  3. The report will show sales totals, commission amounts, and other relevant metrics for each rep.

Best Practices

  1. Regularly review and update commission structures to align with your business goals.
  2. Ensure all sales transactions are assigned to the correct sales rep for accurate reporting and commission calculations.
  3. Use the sales rep performance reports to identify top performers and areas for improvement.
  4. If using the QuickBooks Online sync feature, periodically verify that the sync is working correctly.

Limitations

  • Sales rep information may not sync automatically with all accounting software.
  • Some advanced features may be limited to specific Racko plans.
